I went in the crown first and ordered a Sunday dinner , sat down and asked the people next to me " how long they'd been waiting" . " Nearly an hour" so I left and went to the Brassmill, was served with in 5 mins, great food, great service. Maybe my new local 10/10
Nice atmosphere and reasonable food. There was quiet music in the background at a level where you could easily hold a conversation - a real blessing. The menu was typical pub fare but the dishes we ordered were well presented and tasted good. The prices and portion sizes were also reasonable. We'll definitely go back.
Found veg rather on the cool side. A few roast beef were served with all the fat and no meat these were not charged for but. Lost out on their Xmas meal
What a great place! Really good value for money. Staff were lovely, atmosphere was great, and the Sunday roast was 10/10 - honestly, don't change a thing! Pork belly and parsnips were next level. If you keep things exactly as they are in terms of price, service and quality of the food, you're on to a winner.
Absolutely fantastic, service, food and drink, plus the atmosphere was spot on. Ideal for a family celebration, or a cozy night out for two. Roast dinner on Sunday is excellent, but if you fancy something else then they cater for everyone. I will be making this a regular family go to get together place. Some staff have many years of experience in the catering trade and this shows in the training and standard of younger staff. Well worth a five star rating. Thanks
